Who was responsible for the method of exercise with balls using the Pilates Method?
The Pilates Ball Workout was created by Colleen Craig. She came up with a fun way to do exercise to tone the body and add resistance at the same time. The Pilates Ball Exercises are just as various as are the many different balls to do the technique with.Craig’s unique exercise method combines Pilates with balls that vary in size from large to small. The reason for this is to increase resistance and offer diversity to the Pilates routine on the matt. It also gives one a true challenge in addition to an effective full body workout.

Craig not only created this wonderful new method that intertwines well with Pilates as a rule. But she has also authored three books on her unique exercise technique using Pilates ball exercises. These books are Pilates On The Ball published in 2001 and Abs On The Ball published in 2003. Strength Training on the Ball was published in 2005. A video with the same title also emerged from her first book that became a fast bestseller as well.
